Dear Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends of Folk Dance and Folk Music,
It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to Prague, capital of Czech Republic, to the 12th International Meeting of Folklore Ensembles “Prague Folklore Days”, the biggest folk dance event in central Europe.
In 2018 our festival will be held in the period: July 19 – July 22, 2018. The event is organised and realised by the agency Millennium and is taking place under the auspices of the Prague City. In the previous edition participated over 70 groups from 25 different countries of 3 continents.
The festival is open for amateur folklore ensembles of all types (singing groups, dancing groups with live or recorded music) as well as for marching groups (such as majorettes, historic soldiers, marching bands, flag wavers, carnival groups, historic groups, piper groups, historic costume groups, wind and brass orchestras etc.) - without age limit but with at least active 15 members
All participating groups will go through the following programme points:
- 2 - 3 open air performances in the city centre of Prague
- official meeting of groups´leaders with the representatives of the City of Prague
- parade of all ensembles through the city centre of Prague
- sightseeing tour of the city
- dinner with other participating groups
- river boat cruise with other participating groups, marionette opera or a performance of a black light theatre, etc. – all on request
You will have a unique opportunity to present the folklore and traditions of your region and country to thousands of viewers from all over the world, make new friends and last, but not least – visit Prague, the Golden City in the heart of Europe with all its sights and magic.

The festival agency is also in charge of accommodation for the groups – all costs in connection with the participation are to be carried by the participants, the organizers are not able to provide accommodation free of charge nor can they pay the travel costs of the groups. We are sending you also the festival packages covering the participation.

b) 1-hour-long cruise without meal, price 13 Euro per person
4) dinner with other groups on Saturday (if not part of packsge): 16,00 Euro
THE PARTICIPATION IN THE FESTIVAL IS CONNECTED WITH ONE OF THE PACKAGES OFFERED. The price given above do not include transfer costs, transportation and parking fees in Prague. Parking fees are to be covered by the participants by themselves
